Services will take place at 1 p.m. Oct. 13 at Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. Survivors include his wife, Verna “Maudy;” five sons, Bill Smith, Ron Smith, Richard Basford, Bryan Basford and Leslie Blais; three daughters, Twilla Meadows, Tonya Smith and Barbara Ball; one brother; six sisters; 27 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
